Middle East Arts International is excited to be a part of Hasani's August 9 Un-Hafla! Yet again, we'll be engaged in doing some fundraising in support of the annual Master Workshop Weekend and Gala Show. Our fundraising efforts also go towards bringing educational presentations to the larger community.


"DANCING W/FANS & THE POETICS OF PERFORMANCE"
Please join us for a fun and engaging workshop with Mirabai! Drawing on a lifetime of study of dance, poetry, and theater, Mirabai will share a number of performance gems that apply to performing both in formal and casual settings. Topics will range from stage “psychology”, to audience engagement, to stilling pre-performance nerves. Mirabai will then share how her poetics are applied to one of her fusion fan dance choreographies, and teach some fabulous fanwork and fan/bellydance fusion combos!!
**practice demi-fans will be available for participants who need them.
